MTC My Brilliant Career
Proposal – To supply a series of full stage slash curtains in a range of pastel colours for the MTC premier season of My Brilliant Career, 2024.
Challenge – Finding the range of pastel colours in PVC Slash proved to be not achievable in the time frame.
Solution – We proposed an alternate solution using digitally printed base cloth, cut into strips. The fabric needed to have enough colour bleed through to tint the back of the strips. The designer, Marg Horwell, created digital artwork with the required colours and a sample strip was printed, cut up and forwarded to MTC for the design team to approve.
326 square metres of digitally printed fabric and 4375 metres of hand cutting transformed the fabric into full stage slash curtains.
Outcome – A unique and amazing cloth set of cloths which looked spectacular onstage.
